Step-by-step guides

Paste the URL into the editor

You can paste a YouTube URL to the Editor. You will need to find the URL for the YouTube video that you want to display.

  1. Go to YouTube and search for the video you want.

  2. Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKVcQnyEIT8).

  3. Paste the URL into the Wiki Editor at the space you wish to attach the video.

  4. The Widget Connector will attach the file to the page.

  5. Save the page.
  6. If necessary, click on the Multimedia macro placeholder and choose Edit to set various options such as width, height, or autoplay.

Inserting the Multimedia macro yourself

You can add the Multimedia macro to the page yourself using the Macro Browser. This allows you to display a multimedia file that is attached to either the current page or to another page in the Expert Wiki.

Insert the Multimedia macro on the page at the current cursor position

  1. Choose Insert > Other Macros in the Wiki editor.
  2. Select Media on the left tab and choose the Multimedia macro.

  3. Click on the placeholder and choose Edit to set various options such as width, height, or autoplay, if you wish.

Use drag-and-drop

Depending on the browser you are using, you can attach and position a multimedia file in one step using drag-and-drop.

  1. Drag and drop your multimedia file onto the page while in edit mode. The Expert Wiki will attach the file to the page and insert the Multimedia macro at the current cursor position for you.
  2. Click on the Multimedia macro placeholder and choose Edit to set various options such as width, height, or autoplay, if you wish.

Edit options for embedded videos

Once you have attached a multimedia file to a page, you can click on the Multimedia macro placeholder to set options for the macro such as adjusting the width or height of the display or setting autoplay on.
