To allow your parent or guardian to make payment towards you books, tuition, housing, etc., you will need to create a CASHNet account for them. This can be done through the My Missouri State portal.

Step-by-step Guide

  1. After logging into the My Missouri State portal, click the Profile tab. Here, you will click the Access Accounts and Make Payments link in the Account Balance and Payments channel.

  2. To create a new account for your parent or guardian, click the Add New link next to Parent PINs. 
  3. Create the login you desire and enter your parent or guardian's email address. An optional welcome message can be added to this. Your parent or guardian will receive an email with the login and a temporary password.
     

  4. The PIN that CashNet sends to your parent or guardian will be temporary, and will expire after a set period. They should reset it immediately upon logging in. 

  5. Parents can login to CashNet with the following URL: https://commerce.cashnet.com/mostatepay?LT=P or navigate to http://www.missouristate.edu/ ,  scroll over Parents and Family, and click Make a Payment.

Resetting the Parent PIN

Occasionally, you may need to reset your Parent PIN. Perhaps your parent or Guardian's email address has changed, or they have forgotten the original password.To do this, follow these steps:

  1. After logging into the My Missouri State portal, click the Profile tab. Here, you will click the Access Accounts and Make Payments link in the Account Balance and Payments channel.
  2. On the bottom left of the page, you should see a channel for Parent PINs. Click the Edit link next to your current PIN. 
  3. If you need to change any details of the parent PIN, you can do so on this screen. Once you've made any necessary edits, click one of the buttons at the bottom: OK to save changes, or Reset Password, to save changes and send a new password to your parent or guardian.

    If you choose to reset the password, you'll get a confirmation screen prompting you to make sure you want to reset the password. click Continue if you meant to change the password.



  4. The PIN that CashNet sends to your parent or guardian will be temporary, and will expire after a set period. They should reset it immediately upon logging in.

  5. Parents can login to CashNet with the following URL: https://commerce.cashnet.com/mostatepay?LT=P or navigate to http://www.missouristate.edu/ ,  scroll over Parents and Family, and click Make a Payment.
