Collaborate Original Documentation

We suggest Collaborate Original be used only in these specific use cases:

  • There are > 100 participants (including moderators, guest speakers, etc.).
  • There is a need to record the contents of the Chat area within the room.

Problem - The Collaborate Launcher won't open.

Solutions
  1. Use this website to check if your Java version is compatible with Collaborate. If it's not, update!
  2. Don't launch your sessions from Internet Explorer. Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead.

Problem - My audio isn't working.

Solutions
  1. Ensure that your microphone is plugged in to the proper input and that your system settings are correct.
  2. Does your microphone have an on/off switch? If so, you know what to do.
  3. Always be sure to enter your session early and run the Audio Setup Wizard.

Problem - I can't find Collaborate in my course.

Solution

If you can't find Collaborate in your course at all, follow this guide to make sure that it's been turned on.
