Problem - I'm receiving a message “The Exchange Administrator made a change to your account. Please log off and log in.”

A message appeared in my email client stating “The Exchange Administrator made a change to your account. Please log off and log in.”

Solution
Congratulations, your email account has been updated to Office 365 Education! There are a few housekeeping items that you will need to take care before your email client will start working as you are accustomed to. Problem - My email is not syncing to my phone.

Solution
After your email account has been updated to Office 365 Education your account on your phone might stop syncing. Please see the following Experts How To Guides to help get you up and going on the various devices that you might be using.

Problem - My shared calendar(s) is asking for credentials.

If your account was recently migrated to Office 365 Education and you have shared your calendar(s) with individuals and/or departments who have not yet migrated to Office 365 Education, those individuals may receive a pop-up asking for their credentials.

Solution

When prompted for the shared calendar credentials, enter BearPassLogin@MissouriState.edu (abc123@MissouriState.edu) and BearPass password.

Problem - Outlook inbox Rules are not sorting to the correct folders. 

If you had Rules set up to filter your incoming email in Outlook, these Rules may not be filtering your email even if the folders are displaying. 

Solution

You will need to set up Rules again once your account has been migrated. To do this, you'll need to set the Rules in the portal best solution is to recreate the Rules, delete the old Rule, and then manually run the Rule to ensure that it is sorting as desired. Problem - I don't see any new emails in my department's shared account anymore. 

You may need to re-associate the shared mailbox with your account.

Problem - I cannot send email from from a departmental mailbox.

Solution

Remove the old connection to the mailbox and re-add it using the directions found on How to Add or Open Shared Mailboxes in the Office 365 Mail App.
