Problem

An individual or vendor affiliated with the university is found to have multiple IDs, or PIDMs, in Banner.

Solution

The duplicate ID/PIDM needs to be tagged as a duplicate and reported to Duplicates@MissouriState.edu.

  1. Using the INB form SPAIDEN, update the individual’s duplicate record by appending “DUPLICATE – DO NOT USE” after the individual’s last name.
  2. Email the two different IDs, along with their respective names, to Duplicates@MissouriState.edu.

  3. The duplicate/multiple IDs will eventually be combined under one M-Number by MSU Duplicate PIDM Correction staff.
