Passport, the VPN Client, is required to connect to Missouri State University and its resources from off-campus; these would otherwise only be accessible primarily from on-campus. Connecting to Missouri State University through the VPN is much slower than connecting without the VPN. Only people with high-speed Internet connections (DSL or cablemodem) should consider connecting through the VPN. If you use the Missouri State University Dial-Up, you do not need to use the VPN client; the Missouri State University Dial-Up creates a secure connection with the university.
