Disable Java in Web Browser

In light of the variety of Java exploits available, it is best to disable Java whenever possible. If you still need Java access, we recommend installing Firefox and NoScript.

To Disable Java in Safari on Mac OS X

1. Access the Safari Preferences via the menu at the top right of your screen.

2. In the Security section of the preferences window, uncheck Enable Java.

To disable Java in Firefox on Mac OS X

1. Access the Firefox Preferences via the menu at the top right of your screen.

2. In the Content section of the preferences window, uncheck Enable Java.
