Importing Your Grades
|The import feature in Faculty Grade Entry only works in Internet Explorer.|
In the Faculty Grade Entry application, select the course for which you want to import grades.
Click the tools icon in the upper right corner.
When the Import Grades wizard opens, click Browse and find your file.
Warning Your file must be saved as an XLS file type to successfully import. You can do this by choosing Save As and selecting Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Worksheet as your file type.
Preview your file. If your file has column headers, make sure the My Spreadsheet has headers box is checked. If it does not have headers, make sure the box is unchecked.
If your column headers are different than the column headers in the Faculty Grade Entry page, you will need to map your columns so they import correctly.
Use the drop down menu above each column to choose the type of data that is displayed in each column. The Term Code, Student ID and CRN columns must be mapped to activate the continue button.
Validate the data in the worksheet. The import wizard will give you a list of data that is going to be imported.
Once the import has successfully finished, you will get a notification at the top of the import wizard page.
From this page, you can download a validation report that will give you more information about the import, specifically which records were imported successfully and which records had errors.
