Step 1: Archive Your Course

This step is taken in the current Blackboard site at blackboard.missouristate.edu.

  1. Go to Blackboard blackboard.missouristate.edu. and enter one of your Fall 2017 courses.. 
  2. Under the Control Panel, navigate to Packages and Utilities and select Export / Archive Course


  3. Click Archive Course.



  4. Make the selections as indicated in the image below. Then click Submit


  5. You will see a Success notice at the top of the page. It could a few minutes for the Archive to complete, and then you will receive an email from the system when it's time to move on to the next step. 


  6. When the archive is complete, you'll receive an email. Navigate back to Export / Archive Course in the Control Panel. You'll find your archive with a corresponding time and date stamp. Simply click on the file name to begin downloading your archive.



  7. Click on the Archive File and it will download into your computer's Downloaded files area.


  8. Move on to Step 2 - Restore Your Archived Course in Blackboard Saas.

This step will take place in the new Blackboard SaaS test environment. 

Step 2: Import Your Archived Course to SaaS

If you encounter any issues or Errors when you import your archived course into Saas, please follow this guide to Send your Course Logs to the Blackboard System Administrator.


This step will take place in the new Blackboard SaaS test environment.

  1. Navigate to https://missouristate-eval.blackboard.com/  and sign in with your usual BearPass ID and password.


  2. On the Blackboard dashboard, find your course in the My Courses module.


  3. In the Control Panel, go to Packages and Utilities > Import Package / View Logs.


  4. Select Import Package.


  5. On the Import Package page under the Select a Package area, click Browse My Computer.
  6. You can then navigate to the Archive package you created in Step 1 and click Open.


  7. You should then see your Archive File listed on the Select a Package area.


  8. In the Select Course Material area, click Select All, then Submit.


  9. When the import completes, you see a Success message at the top of the page.
