Mobile Office for iPad®/iPhone®

Office for iPad® and iPhone® requires iOS 10.0 or later. Office for iPad Pro™ requires iOS 10.0 or later.

Office is supported on the two most recent versions of iOS. When a new version of iOS is released, the Office Operating System requirement becomes the then-current two most recent versions: the new version of iOS and the previous version.

Mobile Office 365 can be used to view documents and perform limited editing of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote documents.

Mobile Office for Android

Office for Android™ requires KitKat 4.4 or later version and an ARM-based or Intel x86 processor

Accessing the Office 365 ProPlus Installer

  1. Sign in to your Office 365 Education account. This can be done by using the Office 365 and Email link in My Missouri State, or My Grizzly Den for West Plains Students:



    You can also access it by going to http://portal.office.com and signing in using your BearPassLogin@live.missouristate.edu or BearPassLogin@missouristate.edu and your Office 365 Education password (which can be changed at http://cams.missouristate.edu if you have forgotten it).

    This is not your email address. It is your BearPass Login (abc123) followed by @live.missouristate.edu or @missouristate.edu

  2. On the main page of your portal, select Install Office then Office 365 Apps from the drop-down menu. The system will recognize your operating system and the correct download will begin automatically.

Installing on a Windows Computer

  1. In Windows, clicking the Office 365 apps button will download (or prompt you to download, depending on your browser settings) the Microsoft Office software package. Click on the downloaded package to launch the file and approve the install. and 
  2. An Office screen will pop-up along with a notification that Office is installing in the background as seen below. When this happens, click the Next button in the lower-right of the Office window to move to the next step of the installation.


  3. In the next step, you will be asked to accept the License Agreement. You can view the agreement if you wish by clicking on the View Agreement link, and then click the Use Recommended Settings button to accept the License Agreement. Click Next.


  4. The Office Installer will then bring up a window explaining the OneDrive feature. After clicking Next again, you will come to a window asking you to select a customization view for your Office. This is purely for looks and won't change the actual functionality of Office. Select the option you like best from the list, then click Next.
  5. The Office Installer will then ask you to sign in to get the most out of Office. Click Sign In.


  6. In the E-mail field, enter your Office 365 login, either BearPassLogin@missouristate.edu or BearPassLogin@live.missouristate.edu and click Next.


  7. Click Work Account and click Next.


  8. Enter your Office365 Password and click Sign In.


  9. Office will then ask if you would like to view a tutorial. You can click on the orange Take a Look button to watch a short video illustrating some of Office's new features, or click on the blue No, thanks link to move ahead without watching the video.


  10. Once the video has completed, or you have selected to skip the video, the installation of Office is fully configured. If you are still receiving the notification that Office is being installed in the background, you may wish to wait for this installation to complete before running Office for the optimal performance, but it is not necessary for all applications.

Installing on a Mac Computer

  1. After clicking the Office 365 apps button, open the downloaded file. The Install Microsoft Office for Mac window will appear. 
  2. Click Continue.


  3. Click Continue again.


  4. Click Agree.


  5. Click Install.


  6. Wait for the download to complete and click Continue.


  7. Click Close.


  8.  Open the Microsoft Word file that appears on the dock.


  9. Click Get Started.


  10. Click Sign In.


  11.  Enter your Office 365 login, either BearPassLogin@missouristate.edu or BearPassLogin@live.missouristate.edu (not your actual email address) and click Next.


  12.  Select Work Account.


  13. Click Work or school account.


  14. Enter your BearPassLogin@live.missouristate.edu and your Office 365 Education password. Then click Sign in. It will ask you to choose a theme then click Continue.


  15. You should now have access to Office 365 ProPlus.

Steps for installing Office 365 Education Applications on a Chromebook

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Search for the desired Office 365 application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  3. Download the application
  4. Fill out your login information:

Steps for installing Office 365 Education Applications on iPhone

  1. Open the App Store 
  2. Search for the desired Office 365 application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  3. Download the application
  4. Fill out your login information:
    • Username: BearPassLogin@live.missouristate.edu
    • Password: Your Office 365 Education password

Steps for installing Office 365 Education Applications on Android

  1. Open the Play Store 
  2. Search for the desired Office 365 application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  3. Download the application
  4. Fill out your login information.
    • Username: BearPassLogin@live.missouristate.edu
    • Password: Your Office 365 Education password
