Collaborate Original Documentation

We suggest Collaborate Original be used only in these specific use cases:

  • There are > 100 participants (including moderators, guest speakers, etc.). 

Once you've created your Blackboard Collaborate session, you're ready to enter it when the time is right. See How to Create a Collaborate Original Web Conferencing Session for instructions on setting up your Collaborate session.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Navigate to the Content Area where you've added a link to your session. Click the link to the session.


  2. Next, click on the button labeled Join Room. This will trigger a download of a "meeting" file.


  3. You'll be given the option to Open the File or Save it. If you've already installed the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher, choose to open it with the Launcher. The Launcher will open and you'll be in your session!
