This guide will help you add SCORM and other content packages on Blackboard

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Blackboard
  2. Under the courses tab select the course you want
  3. If you already have SCORM Engine enabled in Blackboard, skip to step 7. To see if SCORM is available in content areas, scroll to the bottom of the page and on the left side find Control Panel. Click on Customization to expand it

  4. Click Tool Availability

  5. Scroll down to Content Package (SCORM) and make sure the box is check marked 

  6. Click Submit  at the bottom of right corner of the page
  7. Now to access Content Package (SCORM), click on Content, on the left side of the course homepage 

  8. On the action bar, point to Build Content and click Content Package (SCORM) 
  9. On the Add Content Package page, attach a file that conforms to the required standards. Click Browse My Computer to upload a file from your computer. You can also upload a file from the course's storage repository:
    • If Course Files is the course's storage repository, click Browse Course.


    • If your institution licenses content management, click Browse Content Collection.
  10. Upload the content you want and then click submit.
