These instructions will guide you through the process of emailing your entire class. There are three methods that you can use to accomplish this task.
This guide is for Faculty use only. Students are only able to email their class if they were given email addresses or if the teacher sets permissions in Experts. If you are student interested in emailing your entire class, please contact the Help Desk.
Before performing one of the three methods, you'll need to execute the following steps first.
Within the Teaching and Advising Tab, go to the Faculty Services channel on the left-hand side. If you do not see this channel, please contact the Computer Services Help Desk.
Within that channel, under the Rosters and Evaluations heading, click the link for Class Lists with the subtitle Use for email/Excel options and to verify grade submission.
On the next page, you will be asked to select your term.
After selecting the appropriate term and clicking Submit, you will be presented with the My Classes page.
Clicking one of the course/section links will take you to the Class List page.
In the upper right hand corner, you will find the link to Email all the students in this section.
Clicking this link will take you to the Send Email form. This form allows several options for emailing your class. You can send your email using the web form, using your default mail client (Outlook, Entourage, etc.), or by using another email method.
Your email can be sent by filling out the forms and clicking the Send Email button.
Emailing Class with Outlook, Entourage, or Other Email Client
Clicking the Other Emailing Methods button will give you the option of sending your email with either Outlook or Entourage.
This method will not work if you do not have a default email client installed and set up on your computer.
Using the appropriate Link to email client will launch your default email client.
If Outlook or Mac Mail is setup as your default email client, you will see the windows below and be able to send your email as normal. If you are using a different email client, you should see a similar result.
Emailing Class with Office 365 Email
If you do not have an email client setup or your default email client is not setup for your Missouri State email account, you can follow the directions below.
From the Send Email page, select all of the email addresses that are listed in the BCC text box.
