In this tutorial, you will learn how to upload your published Presenter files in Blackboard Learn.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log into your Blackboard course.
  2. Click on the Content link or the folder in which you would like to place the presentation lectures.

  3. Once you are in the content area, choose Build Content > File.
  4. In the Select File option, click on Browse Course to go into the file structure in Blackboard. This is similar to your My Documents folder on your computer.
  5. Click on Create Folder. (This is for the first time uploading lectures. Once you have a Lecture Folder created, you can skip this step.)
  6. Name the folder (e.g. Adobe Presenter Lectures) and click SubmitClick on the folder to open it.
  7. As you may be publishing multiple Presenter files, you will need to create subfolders to host each set of published files.
  8. Create a new sub-folder (e.g. Lecture 2) for the name of the lecture you are uploading.
  9. There are two methods of choosing your files.
    1. If published files were not zipped,
      1. Open this new sub-folder called Lecture 2.
      2. Choose Upload > Upload Files
      3. Browse for the Adobe Presenter files.
    2. If published files were zipped,
      1. Open this new sub-folder called Lecture 2.
      2. Choose Upload > Upload Package
      3. Browse for the Adobe Presenter zipped file.

  10. For the unzipped files, find all files associated with the lecture. Hold the Shift key down and click to select all the files.
  11. For the zipped files, find the zipped file and click to select.
  12. Then click Open. It takes some time for all files (or zipped file) to transfer over to the Bb server. Once they are all transferred, click Submit.  Wait a few seconds for all the files to submit.

If using the Package option, the zipped file will be uploaded and then upzipped into its own folder in Blackboard.

  13. You will now need to choose the default HTML file (always index.html) which runs your presentation. Click on the box next to the index.htm file. (This file is the default start file for opening the lecture)
  14. Then click Submit.
  15. In the Select File option, rename the default name to one which properly identifies the topic being presented. Click Submit.
  16. Click on Lecture 2 to open.
