Step-by-step guide

  1. Display the document to resize in ApplicationXtender Web Access.
  2. Ensure that the page of the document you want to resize is the one currently being displayed.
  3. Click on the Page Menu icon on the toolbar.

  4. Choose New Version -> Current View.

The currently displayed page will now have been resized as a new version. You can confirm this with the Version indicator in the status bar at the bottom which should display "Version 2 of 2".  At this point, the old version of the document is still available and using disk space.  If you are happy with the results, remove the old version of the document by selecting the Page Menu icon in the toolbar and then selecting "Purge Version".

You cannot undo the Purge Version action. Do not purge the old version(s) of the page unless you are 100% certain that you are ready to.

If you are not happy with the results, use the "Delete Version" option to remove the new version and revert back to the old.

Common Errors

Once in every few hundred images, you may encounter an error when trying to resize an image. It may look like this:

If that is the case, DO NOT purge the original version of the image. If there are still two versions (version number should be in the bottom bar of Internet Explorer), delete the current version, which will probably look something like the image below. If there is only one version, contact DocumentManagement@missouristate.edu.
