Use this guide to set up wireless on your Blackberry.

Which Network to Use:

MSU: Living Off Campus
MSU Open: Visiting in the PSU, Welcome Center, or Library
MSU ResNet: Living On Campus
MSU Sponsored: Departmental Guest Speaker Access (Must get key from Networking and Telecommunication)

 

Step-by-step guide

  1. First, go to your options menu.


  2. Next, when in the options menu, select Networks and Connections.

  3. After that, select Wi-Fi Network.


  4. Next, a list of available network connections should be populated. Go ahead and select your preferred connection. Use MSU if you live off campus and MSUResNet if you currently live on campus.


  5. Next you'll be prompted to input a bit of information.
    1. Enterprise Sub-Type: PEAP
    2. Username: BearPass Login (ex: abc123)
    3. Password: BearPass Password
    4. Click and select the menu for: CA certificate
     

  6. The certificate you'll want is Digicert High Assurance EV Root CA.


  7. You should now have a screen with a summary of all the settings that you just entered. Scroll down to the very bottom and click Connect.


As long as everything was entered properly, you should be good to go!
