Assignments can be placed anywhere in a course, so your instructor will let you know where your assignment is located, either in class or through a notification, an announcement, or by sending an email.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Select the Content Area from the Course Menu where your instructor has placed the assignment. (In the picture below, this area is labeled Assignments, but each course is different.)

  2. Pick the appropriate assignment from the list.

  3. Assignment Information will have information pertinent to the assignment such as Due Date, Instructions, etc. Be sure to read all the instructions carefully.

  4. Follow the assignment instructions. If you need to upload a file you can do so by clicking Browse My Computer. For assignments requiring multiple submissions, repeat this step until all files are attached.

If you are using a Chromebook and receive a No file chosen message after selecting a file, repeat the process and select the file from the Downloads folder, not from Google Drive.

  5. Your uploaded file will appear below the text editor. You can rename your uploaded file in the Link Title box. You can enter additional information for your instructor to read in the Comments box.

  6. Your instructor might have you write your submission or copy and paste your submission into the text editor. Click Write Submission to enter text into the text editor.

  7. Click Submit

  8. If your submitted assignment was a Word document you will see a preview pane after you click Submit. Click OK to return to the content area you began in.
