In keeping with its efforts to serve the region by providing formal and informal educational opportunities, Missouri State University-West Plains will make its facilities available to community groups for educational, cultural, or other purposes consistent with the role of the University (see Facility Reservation Form for full policy and procedure regarding facility usage by external groups).
When external groups use University facilities, there is an expectation that these groups will be exposed to information about the University. The extent of exposure to this information will vary according to the make-up of the group and the purpose and schedule of the visit.
Groups external to the University who use Missouri State University-West Plains facilities are encouraged, but not required, to plan a tour of the campus as part of their scheduled activities (see Group Visit Information). Alternatives to the campus tour include an overview or brief welcome by an Missouri State University-West Plains staff member or a packet of University information and/or promotional material for the group members.
Missouri State University-West Plains personnel involved in scheduling and working with external groups using campus facilities should inform the admissions office of external groups using and/or visiting campus for any purpose. This office will work with the visiting group to determine the appropriate informational procedure.
