  2. Find the appropriate column for the assignment. You should see a green exclamation mark icon  that signals something Needs Grading.
  3. There are three ways to then grade an assignment:
    1. Click the contextual menu for the column in question and choose Grade Attempts.

    2. Choose a particular student and click the Needs Grading Icon (contextual menu). Then choose the attempt you wish to grade. (Will also have the Needs Grading Icon unless you have already graded it)

    3. Open the Contextual Menu, and then click View Grade Details.
      1. Click View Attempts or Grade Attempt and determine the grade.

  4. Under Grade Current Attempt, in the Grade box, type the grade you wish to give the student.

  5. If you wish, you can give feedback or note, or attach a document to the assignment for the student to review. You can also use Inline Grading to comment directly on a document submitted by a student.
  6. When you are finished, click Submit. You will see a green success bar at the top of the screen.

You can return to the Grade Center to see the assignment column updated.
