Follow these step-by-step instructions for editing a standard website using Dreamweaver.

Setting up your site in Adobe Dreamweaver CC

  1. Open Dreamweaver.
  2. Select Site then Manage Sites.
  3. Click the New Site button.
  4. Enter the name of your website in to the Site Name field. 
  5. Select where you would like to store the website on your computer when editing. Using the default location is okay.
  6. On the left panel, select the Servers category.

  7. Click the Add New Server button. (It looks like a +).

  8. Enter the following settings:
    1. Server NameMissouri State
    2. Connecting usingWebDAV
    3. URL: your site's WebDAV address, such as
    4. Username: your BearPass login with domain, such as bb1@sgf
    5. Password: your BearPass password
    6. Web URL: your website address, such as

  9. After you've entered your setting, click the Test button to ensure the connection works.

  10. Click the Save button to save the settings. Then click the Done button to close the window.

Uploading your files to Missouri State servers

Once you set up a connection, you can use Dreamweaver to upload files to your website.

  1. In the panels on the right side of the screen, select the Files panel.

  2. From the first drop-down menu, select the site you wish to upload. This is the Site Name that you created during the setup process.
  3. From the second dropdown menu, select Local viewThis allows you to view and upload the site files that you saved locally on your computer.

  4. Click the up arrow. When you hover over the up arrow, it says: Put file(s) to “Remote Server”, which is the site hosted on Missouri State's servers.

  5. Wait until the files finish to upload. A dialog box appears showing the progress.
  6. From the second dropdown menu, select Remote server to verify that your files are on the server.
