To create a permanent record of a course including all the content and user interactions in the course at the time, use the Archive Course function.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Under the Control Panel, navigate to Packages and Utilities and select Export / Archive Course

    2. On the menu bar, select Archive Course

    3. From this screen, you're able to choose whether or not you'd like to include Grade Center History in your archive. If so, simply select the box to the left of the dialogue. When you've got everything set to your liking, click on Submit.

    4. When the archive is complete, you'll receive an email. Navigate back to Export / Archive Course in the Control Panel. You'll find your archive with a corresponding time and date stamp. Simply click on the file name to begin downloading your archive. You can then save the archive file to your computer, external storage device, or a cloud storage service like OneDrive.

    Do not download the Archive package until you receive the email that the archive is complete. Downloading the package before you receive the email can result in an incomplete or corrupted archive.
